Eleanor Reap, 86, of Avoca, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Mountain View Care Center, Scranton. Born in Thorne, England, October 6th, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Hinds.
Eleanor was a member of St. John’s Primitive Methodist Church, Avoca. She attended schools in England. She worked in many different fields in the United States. Eleanor retired from Green’s Bridal as a bridal consultant in Camp Hill. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Aurey Kerslake and her daughter-in-law, Dawn Bowling.
Eleanor is survived by her husband of 43 years, Albert Reap; her sons, Steven Bowling of Park City, Utah, Alan Reap of Etters, PA, and Bruce Reap and his wife, Marion of Pittston Twp. Also surviving are her granddaughters, Christina Scott and Alyssa Reap and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6th at 11:00am at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Rev. Dale Pepper of St. John’s Primitive Methodist Church, Avoca officiating. Friends may call on Friday evening, January 15th from 6-8pm. Interment will be held at the Langcliffe Cemetery.
