Dolores A. (Sadowski) Cerullo, 83 passed away Monday, December 5th at her home. She was born in Duryea, August 31, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Anna (Schultz) and Stanley Sadowski.
She was a graduate of Duryea High School, Class of 1951.
Dolores held numerous positions in accounting and key punch for Maxson Manufacturing, Old Forge, Northeastern Bank (now PNC) and Prudential, from which she retired in 1998. She loved to travel. She has been to many countries and islands, including Germany, Austria, Denmark, and Greece; her favorite being the Greek Islands.
Dolores enjoyed going to the casino, shopping, and out to dinner with her companion of 40 years, Paul McDermott, who preceded her in death in May of 2011. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Dorothy; sisters, Marie Merrifield and Romaine Gillow; brother, Stanley Sadowski; and former husband, Patrick Cerullo.
She is survived by her twin sister, Doris Koenig of Florida; sister-in-law, Irene Sadowski of Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you goes to her niece, Romaine Astolfi for her tireless companionship and care.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
