John Dolman, 92, of Dupont passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Dupont on July 10, 1926 and was the son of the late Thomas and Sarah (Francis) Dolman.
John was a member of the Full Gospel Church, Avoca and a former member of the Moosic Assembly of God Church, Moosic. He attended Dupont Schools and joined the US Army and served as a Sergeant during WWII. John worked in several local factories and he retired from the Poloron Company, Moosic. He was an avid collector and restorer of clocks, and timepieces of all kinds. Anyone who knew John would refer to him as “The Clock Man”. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, the former Virginia Dolman, who died July 26th, 2013 as well as his siblings, Howard, Roy, Williard, Edith Knecht, Mary Peahota, Ruth Peahota and Alice Brown.
He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Dolman, of Dupont, Patricia Belles and her husband Kevin of Shickshinny, and Gale Tetlak and her husband Stephen of Hudson FL. Also surviving are grandchildren, Joseph Angrisano and his wife Billie, Sarah Tompkins and her husband Duane, and Amanda Fay and her husband Michael; great-grandchildren Aeden Tompkins, Lydia Tompkins, Maggie Grace Fay and Julia Angrisano, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8th at 10:30am from Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with services at 11:00am at the Moosic Assembly of God Church, 3rd St., Moosic, Pa. AMVETS honor guard of Greater Pittston will provide military honors. Friends may call Tuesday evening, August 7th from 5-8pm. Interment will be held at the Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
