Dolores T. (Barnak) Yablonski, 90, of Avoca, passed away on Wednesday, October 3,, 2018 at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was born January 17, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Karol and Anna (Procek) Barnak.
Dolores was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. She was a former member of SS Peter and Paul Church, Avoca and its Alter and Rosary Societies. She attended Dupont Schools. Dolores worked for the Grove Silk Mill, Smith’s Restaurant and retired from Topps Chewing Gum. She loved to spend time with her family and friends and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dolores enjoyed cooking excellent meals and reading was one of her favorite pastimes. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Edward S. Yablonski, Sr.; her brothers John, Stanley, Charles, Joseph, Walter, Frank and Edward; and her sisters Pearl Kulish, Margaret Frank, and Lillian Trochymczuk.
She is survived by her children Edward Yablonski and his wife Cathy of Avoca, Thomas Yablonski and his wife Ruth of Whitehall, and Lorraine Campbell and her husband John of Avoca. Also surviving are her grandchildren, John, Jr., Scott and Todd Campbell, Amy Hoherchalk, Betsy Yablonski, Jenny Davitt, Aaron Yablonski, Brian Luckenbill and Jordon Joyce; her great-grandchildren that affectionately referred to her as Babci, Brynn, Amelia, Chase and Violet Campbell, Kyle and Riley Manley, Sam Davitt, Jude and Bailey Luckenbill, Peyton Joyce, Harrison Joyce, Creed, Madison and Hanna Hoherchak, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 6th at 12:00pm from Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with a mass of Christian burial at 12:30pm at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont with Fr. Thomas Petro officiating. Friends may call of Saturday morning, October 6th from 9:00am until time of services. Interment will be held at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Avoca.
