Agnes M. Rebelinski, 85, of Moosic, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023, at the Regional Hospital, Scranton. She was born in Pittston on August 31, 1937, and was the daughter of the late William and Agnes McHugh Castner.
Agnes was a member of Queen of The Apostles Parish Church, Avoca. She was a 1955 graduate of Avoca High School. Agnes was primarily a homemaker throughout her life and was also employed by the Riverside School District.
Agnes enjoyed visiting local flea markets, yard sales, and church rummage sales. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Joseph P. Fadden and her second husband John Rebelinski. Also preceding her in death were her great grandson Angel Herron and her siblings, Grace Boos, Joan Sibley, Paul Castner, Ann Castner, and Rosemary Murray.
She is survived by her children, Donna Novak and her husband John, of Taylor, Joseph Fadden and his wife Catherine, of Silver Springs, MD and Cynthia Herron and her husband John of Milford, PA; her 5 grandchildren Paul Novak and wife Jennifer, John P. Novak and fiancé Meghan Carey, Ana Novak and fiancé Dan Ayagh, Alex Herron and wife Sophia and Lindsay Herron; her great grandchildren Eliana Herron, Evana Herron, Aiden Ayagh, and Adrian Ayagh; and many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 11:00am at Queen of The Apostles Parish Church, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca with Fr. Phillip Sladicka officiating. Friends may call on Friday morning at the church from 9:30am until time of mass. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Avoca.
