Audrey (Matacavage) Torba, 81, of Scranton, passed away on Wednesday September 11th, 2024, at Geisinger CMC Hospital, Scranton. She was born in Scranton and was the daughter of the late Helen Matacavage Drake.
Audrey was a member of the Green Ridge Assembly Of God Church, Scranton. She was a graduate of Scranton Tech High School class of 1960. She was the owner and operator of Audrey’s Floral, in Scranton for 34 years from 1974 until it’s closing in 2007. Audrey was a devout Christian having been involved in many local churches over the years, she was well known for spreading word in her strong Christian faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Audrey is survived by her husband of 62 years Robert Torba, her son Robert E Torba Jr. and his wife Amy of Moosic. Also surviving are her 5 grandchildren Andrew Torba and his wife Emily, Angela Wickizer and her husband Michael, Jacob Torba and his fiancé Dashawn Furman, and Alex and Zach Torba, and 5 great grandchildren Sophia, Samuel, Eva, Summer, and Wynter.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 18th at 11:00am at the Green Ridge Assembly Of God Church 825 Green Ridge St. Scranton with Rev. David Twiss officiating. Friends may call for visitation on Wednesday morning from 10am until time of service. Interment will be held at the Mt. View Cemetery, Harding.
