It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved aunt, Audrey Rose Moore, of Avoca. She passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Audrey was born in Duryea, May 19th 1930, and was the daughter of the late James and Rose (Orlowski) Moore.
Audrey was a life-long member of Sacred Heart Church, Duryea (Nativity Of our Lord Parish Church). She was a graduate of Duryea High School. Audrey was employed for many years in the local garment industry.
Audrey enjoyed dancing, shopping, and especially spending time with her loving family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Edward Bastek and her siblings; Hilda Moore, James Moore, Hiram Moore, Mildred Timinski, Martha Fedyk and Mable Poremba.
Audrey is survived by her loving family, which includes several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. We will all have many cherished memories of Audrey to hold onto.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday June 25th, 2024 at 1:00pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc. 255 McAlpine St. Duryea with Fr. Michael Bryant of Nativity of Our Lord Parish Church, Duryea officiating.
Friends may call for visitation on Tuesday afternoon from 12pm until time of service. Interment will be held at a later date located at her family plot in the Marcy cemetery, Duryea.
