Charles W. Cooper, 89, formerly of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, at the Highland Park Senior Living Center, Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Walthill, Nebraska on January 14, 1935, and was the son of the late Thomas Z. Cooper and Amelia B. (Gonsolley) Cooper.
Charles retired as a general contractor and was the owner and operator of Cooper Construction Company of Central New Jersey.
He is survived by his daughter Karan Oleckna and her husband Ken of Pocono Pines, PA., his son Richard M. Richardson, of Goshen, Massachusetts, his grandchildren, Trenton, Nicholas, Rob, Sara, Megan, and Charlie, his great granddaughter Charlotte, and many brothers, sisters, and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 27th at 2:00pm at his family’s gravesite located at the Green River Cemetery, Wisdom Way Road, Greenfield, Massachusetts.
Charles’ family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Compassionate Care Hospice for their kindness and excellent care given to Charles.
