David Collins, 74, of Larksville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 24, 2025. He was born on January 3, 1951, in Avoca, the son of the late William and Ruth (Rowlands) Collins.

David was a member of the Langcliffe Presbyterian Church in Avoca. He was a graduate from the first graduating class Pittston Area High School, Class of 1968, and later earned his degree from Penn State University. He was employed for many years with Ownes-Illinois.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Janice Bekanich Collins, who passed on May 7, 2024, and his daughter, Renee Clara Collins Smith, who passed on December 31, 2016.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Adam Smith III, Alexander David Smith, and Addison Elizabeth Smith all of St. Robert, MO. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Adam Smith of St. Robert, MO; his brothers, James Collins and wife Debbie of Moosic, Ronald Collins and wife Laura of Honesdale, and Robert Collins and wife Jean of Avoca; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Private Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12th at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc. 255 McAlpine St. Duryea. Interment will follow at Langcliffe Cemetery, Avoca.
