Norma (Kosnoski) Patrick

Norma (Kosnoski) Patrick, a resident of Dupont Borough, passed away peacefully on March 18th, 2025, at the Riverstreet Manor Nursing Center, Wilkes-Barre.  She was born in Moosic, November 18th, 1933. Norma was the only child of the late Stephen and Theresa “Tess” (Heckman) Kosnoski. 


Norma was a graduate of Dupont High School where she met her future husband, John Patrick.

She worked in the local garment industry as well as at the Double D restaurant in Dupont with friends Ed and Peggy Tetlak.


She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Dupont, where she attended daily mass until her health condition prohibited.  She was also a former member of the Dupont Polka Lights which she and husband John enjoyed tremendously.


Norma was a devoted and dedicated family member and cherished the time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.


In addition to her parents, Norma is proceeded in death by her husband of 67 years, John Patrick, who passed away in 2017 and her youngest child Sandra Pacovsky who passed away in 2007.


Norma is survived by her son Barry, daughter Lynn McDermott and her husband Thomas as well as her grandchildren Amy Burke and her husband Sean, Janice McDermott, Shaun McDermott and David Pacovsky.  Also surviving are her three great-grandchildren, Gabby, Jeremy, and Owen, her sister-in-law Mildred “Mitzie” Patrick and son-in-law David Pacovsky.


A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont with Fr. Thomas Petro officiating.  Interment will be held at the parish cemetery.

Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
