Paul Gerald Yablonski, 89, of Taylor, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the Regional Hospital of Scranton. He was born in Harvey’s Lake, PA on June 30, 1934, and was the son of the late Joseph and Marie Bolek Yablonski.
Paul was a member of The Connect Church, Taylor. He was a graduate of Noxen High School. After graduating high school, Paul joined the US Navy and served during the Korean War. Paul retired in 1998 after 28 years of employment at Techneglas, Inc. where he worked as a quality control supervisor.
Paul was a member of VFW Post 8335, Avoca where he served as an officer. He served as a secretary on the board of directors for the Highway Federal Credit Union, Hughestown, He was also a member of the West Side Social Club, Avoca.
Paul was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Joseph Yablonski.
Paul is survived by his wife of 30 years Nancy Francik Yablonski, his daughters Geri Smith, of Wilkes-Barre, and Teri Tompkins and her husband Joe of Le Raysville, PA.
Also surviving are his stepsons, Kenneth Sudol and his wife Joyce of Fountain, Colorado and Kevin Sudol, of Temple, TX, his sister Lorretta Lyons, of Florida and grandchildren, Tara Yablonski, William Tompkins, Ann Tompkins, Kody Sudol and Kaden Sudol and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 28th at 11:00am at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Pastor Timothy Webb of the Connect Church, officiating. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday morning from 9am until time of service. Interment will be held on Friday, March 29th at 12:00pm at St. John’s Cemetery, Duryea with the AMVET Honor Guard of Greater Pittston providing military honors.
