Richard (Rick) William Fleming

Richard (Rick) William Fleming, 69, of Old Forge, passed away on February 25, 2024, at Geisinger CMC Hospital, Scranton.  He was born in Ridgewood, NJ on June 29, 1954, and was the son of the late John and Dorothy Bush Fleming.


Rick was employed with the U.S. Post Office in New Jersey with over 20 years of employment.

 

Rick was best known as a very talented musician; he played bass guitar with many blues bands having played locally and regionally.  He was very artistic and was an aficionado of blues music.  He loved hockey and was a die-hard New York Rangers fan.  He also enjoyed his beach vacations with his family and friends.  Rick will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

He is survived by his significant other of 20 years, Kathryn Koths, his son Kyle Fleming, of NY, his brother John Fleming and his wife Clarissa, of NJ.  Also surviving are his stepchildren Chris Sanderson and his wife Kristin, of Ohio, Michael Sanderson and his wife Darcy, of Vermont and Jennifer Puckett and her husband Brian, of Old Forge, grandchildren, Ethan and Avry Sanderson, Dannica and Conrad Sanderson and Rosyln and Hattie Puckett, his niece Kelly Fleming Yenek and her husband James, his great-niece Kate Yenek and great-nephew James Yenek

 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday March 2nd, 2024, at 11:30am at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Vicar Steve Koths officiating.  Friends may call for visitation on Saturday morning from 10:30am until time of service.
