Veronica “Ronnie” Ambrosavage

Veronica “Ronnie” Ambrosavage, 66, of Pittston, passed away on Sunday, January 26th, 2025, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.  Born in Avoca on January 30, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Veronica (Gregorski) Yablonski.


Ronnie was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, class of 1975, and a past member of SS Peter and Paul Church, Avoca. She worked many years for Topps Chewing Gum, and later retired from Bank Of America, Montage Mountain.

 

She found joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished many family vacations at the beach.  She was also a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband David Ambrosavage, who died in 1998.

 

Veronica is survived by her daughter Stacey Hintze, and her husband Edward, of Pittston Twp; her son, Jeremy, and his wife Michelle, of Harding; grandchildren, Ryan and Brook Hintze; her sister, Cheryl Panunti and her husband Robert, of Georgia as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

Thank you to all the wonderful healthcare staff who helped our family at Geisinger ICU and ER and Wesley Village.  The compassion and love you have given to our mother is so greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.

 

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 30th at 9:30am at Our Lady Of The Eucharist Parish Church, 535 North Main St., Pittston with Fr. Joseph Elston and Sister Maryann Cody officiating.  Friends may call for visitation on Thursday morning from 8:30am until time of mass.  Interment will be held at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery. Avoca.

 

Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
